Just one of those days....

Attention: Major cabin fever HAS set in!
Life lately has been a little stressful. The boys both had strep and upper resp. infections, but are doing much better now. All parents know that there is nothing more heartbreaking and stressful than having sick kiddos. Yesterday the weather broke, the boys were feeling back to their wild and crazy selves....so Mommy thought going outside during the mild(ish) day would do them some good.

You be the judge......

First, Liam came up with EVERY excuse in the book to not go outside.
"It's way too cold outside!"
"I am still sick!"
"Daddy said no we can't go outside!"
In the end...I got them bundled and pushed them out the door.

The boys were doing good. (Sharing and caring as we call it.)
My happy Liam that did NOT want to go outside is enjoying the outdoors.

Noah loves to play with rocks.....and eat them. (not that I let him)

Now...this is where things take a turn for the worse....
For Christmas, Liam received an awesome riding toy from Meme and Papa! The boys love it!.....both of them.....at the same time!

Liam claims this truck his and ONLY his.
Sometimes it works out great! They are sharing SO well.
But most of the time.....
Liam only gets to play in it. (His rules...that don't go too far.)
The result...........
A VERY sad Noah that was pushed out of the black truck!

So.....Mommy intervenes and this is what happens next!
We now have a VERY happy Noah!
And by the way....it isn't dirt on Noah's chin. It is bruising from falling into a chair. :(

Now that Noah is happy.....this is what Mommy has to deal with....
Lesson of the week.....SHARING!!! (an on-going lesson)

Needless to say, we packed up the toys and headed in for lunch and nap. Whoever said being a stay at home Mom is easy....oh boy.
Try it!
The boys took a nice long nap and were in MUCH better moods.

In addition to my detailed description of the boys fighting....
I have some projects I have been working on.
You are probably thinking...what on EARTH is she doing now???
Well, one problem I have been having is taking the kids to church.
Brad directs the choir at church, so he is preoccupied and can't help with the kiddos. The boys are at that really LOUD, DIFFICULT age. I have been researching different things to do to be able to take them to church and...to my surprise, my idea was not found.
(Dog cages in the basement of the church or outside on nice days)
Drop the kids in the dog cage...go to church...let them out when it is over! Seems smart to me! :) Totally kidding.

I have been reading a lot about "Quiet Books" and decided to start making them today. Now they normally use felt, but my sewing skills aren't quite up to par and my time is limited. I am using the same idea but with cardstock and velcro.
(plus my laminating machine-- best investment!)
So far..one page made for each. I need to make eyes, noses, mouths,
hats, etc..for them to dress up Mr. Silly. Get the idea?

Another project in the works...Noah's crib guards.
I finally have one more side done!
One more to go! Here is it is so far.
I went in yesterday and Noah was just laying his head on the rail, rubbing his face on them. I would say he is happy with them. :)
Yes...it has Liam's name above Noah's crib. One more thing to work on soon.
Easy and fun to make! Plus I think they add A LOT to the room decor. I love how cozy they are.
There we go! My update for the day.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
